Howdy!
Introducing... The Coolest Team!
Thank you for choosing The Coolest! My name is Mark LeGare, my friends call me “Air LeGare.”
My journey into the HVAC world began at the age of 17, when I enlisted in the U.S Army as a 52C Utilities Equipment Repairman. I served for 4 years as a 10th Mountain Division Soldier, stationed in Fort Drum NY; to include an 8 month deployment to Kabul, Afghanistan.
After my enlistment, I returned to Afghanistan as a private contractor to provide HVAC and infrastructure solutions to our soldiers in hazardous combat areas. The department I worked for often brought me to the frontline bases, known as FOBs. My task was to help build, repair, and maintain critical infrastructure for US Army Special Forces, Navy SEALs, US Marines, US Army Infantry and Artillery. I even provided services for the local Afghani Security Forces and Afghani National Army. I look back at this time very fondly, as it was arguably one of the most exciting times of my career.
Once I completed my service in Afghanistan, I found an opportunity to work on industrial chillers inside nuclear reactors. Considering my past history for doing weird and exciting things, I thought this would be a fun job. I would often work inside of generator rooms, nuclear reactor buildings, and steam turbine floors. I could be found crawling inside complex ducting and ventilation systems, dropping large motors into the reactor buildings, cleaning out the evaporators for giant water fed chiller systems, and scampering around in large bus and breaker yards. This was another fun time for me, because the work was challenging and rewarding. However, this time was short lived as I was awarded another contract to work on HVAC systems in Iraq.
Determined to lend my skills to our soldiers in Iraq, I became a private contractor once again. This time i was responsible for working on advanced HVAC systems inside of armored combat vehicles. These vehicles were either intact, or in major disrepair. I spent a large portion of this time training soldiers to fix and repair HVAC systems, in addition to spearheading the operations of one of the most coveted HVAC repair shops in Iraq. Some convoys would travel from many miles away in order to ensure that their equipment received the best care.
Driven by my desire for excellence and a strong compulsion to start my own business, I moved back to my home in Austin. It was at this point that I embarked on a years-long journey, working and studying under various local residential and commercial contractors. After countless hours of on-the-job experience, blood, sweat, and tears, I eventually founded my own HVAC company.
Since then, my company has grown into a formidable team of dedicated professionals and team members. Each of my team members are eager to serve all our valued customers in the greater Austin area. We are also proud to say that this is our 10th year of business!
I always operate with a smile and have a knack for making people laugh. I treat all my customers fairly, as if they were my friends, and am unwavering in my dedication to my craft. I am a fully licensed, insured, and unrestricted contractor.
My team and I are looking forward to working with you!
